Though math and technology are important aspects of our program (and of life), nothing is as important as a transformational relationship with Jesus Christ! As IEI began to search for ways to strengthen that component of the program, a partnership started to flourish with the Liberian chapter of Youth for Christ (YFC). An initial meeting between IEI and YFC took place in September 2016. On the next trip in November of the same year, five YFC members were able to travel with the team from Monrovia to Sinoe County. The results of this trip were fantastic! The YFC members have incredible faith, demonstrated through their lives in every way imaginable. It was an honor for IEI to be able to grow in deeper relationships with them and to continue discussions of how their program could mesh with IEI to further benefit the Liberian students. Through many meetings and conversations, YFC was able to commit to moving two members of their team down to Sinoe County to kick start the program! This is really a mutually beneficial partnership, as IEI gets to utilize strong people of faith to reach the students on a deeper level, and YFC gets to enter into a relationship with many schools because of IEI's connections, and also gets to move to their second location in Liberia. Both parties are looking forward with anticipation to how God is going to continue to bless and multiply this partnership.
